Fernhurst Village Hall was again filled with eager quizzers on a fine November evening. From National Trust to geography, flags to sport, and book titles to history, the room was thoroughly tested on its knowledge. The self-appointed “Wooden Spoons” lived up to their name and were presented with spoons, while a table of six played their joker wisely and won the quiz, taking home a bottle of wine each. A variety of great dinners and deserts were served around the room, and an abundance of raffle prizes all found new homes before the evening was out.
