Purchase of Punchbowl grazing ponies, removal of Castle Copse rhododendron, repair to Emley Farm Barns, update to the Miss James information board, support for the Valewood beaver and rewilding project, repair to Marley Heights Hutchinson memorial, and an amazing rota of volunteers checking the beaver fence and bat detectors at Valewood.  These were all highlighted successes in Chairman, Bob Daniels,’ AGM report for the Black Down & Hindhead Supporters on 14th June.

Following this, Andy Jasper, Director of Gardens & Parklands for the National Trust described the past, present and future of the beautiful Gertrude Jekyll home at Munstead Wood, and his colourful career path through the Eden Project and other properties that eventually led him to this role at the National Trust.
